Harley Street

Harley Street is located in Westminster and runs through the heart of Marylebone, from Marylebone Road to Wigmore Street. It is named after Edward Harley, the second Earl of Oxford, who owned the land in the 18th century.

Harley Street began as a residential area but today has the single greatest concentration of medical expertise anywhere in the world. As well as private clinics and hospitals, there are over 1,400 specialist surgeons, physicians and consultants practising here.
