Carnaby Street
During the 1960s this street was so much the centre of swinging London that the Oxford English Dictionary recognised the noun "Carnaby Street" as meaning "fashionable clothing for young people".
Today it caters more to tourists but the area is attracting some stylish and innovative retailers - with the emphasis on young urban fashion, while at the same time, the number of bars and restaurants in the area continues to grow.
