Firepower

Located within the historic Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, Firepower museum houses the collections of the Royal Regiment of Artillery, and recounts the history of the Regiment and the development of artillery from the ballista of Roman times to the missiles of the present day.

Combining a mixture of science and technology, Firepower recreates the story of artillery and those who served the Regiment through interactive displays, the centrepiece of which is the ground-shaking 'Field of Fire' which puts viewers in the midst of a simulated battle.

The museum also serves as a dignified memorial to those who served the Regiment, displaying photographs, medals, archive documents and personal artefacts alongside the exhibits of cannons, mortars, guns and tanks.
