The Fan Museum is located within a pair of Grade II listed buildings built in 1721 and is the only museum in the world devoted entirely to every aspect of fans and fan making.

It houses a collection of more than 3,000 predominantly antique fans from around the world dating from the 11th century to the present day. There is a permanent display which draws on the history of fans and fan making, the materials used and the different types and sources of fans.
